If you like traditional escape rooms you’ll love our virtual escape experiences. Just as with traditional rooms you’ll arrive, be met by a cheerful host, and be given a briefing before being taken into the escape room. The difference with our escape experiences is that the room is completely empty. The environment, puzzles, and everything you encounter are in a virtual world that you’ll access using our VR headsets. In our virtual worlds you’ll have adventures beyond the realms of physical escape rooms.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a VR Escape Room?
VR - Virtual Reality - is a computer-generated world. We’ll send you there using a headset. Once there you’ll have a mission or task to carry out, the object being to work together to accomplish that goal within a given time frame. VR allows for fully immersive experience. That’s not to say VR Escape Rooms are better than real world escape rooms! We’re fortunate to have many great escape rooms in Southend and Chelmsford and we’re huge fans. We hope you’ll think of our virtual escape rooms as just a different type of experience. A type with a few less padlocks, and a few more sharks and dragons.
Are your games suitable for children?
Most of our games are suitable for children aged 11+ (Year 7 school year and upwards.) Alien Infection is a mild horror escape room so we suggest 15+ for that one. Manor of Escape is a bit creepy so we suggest maybe 14+ for that one.
I wear glasses - how will that work with a VR headset?
All but the largest of frames can be worn within our headsets. VR uses you distance vision, so if you’re short sighted you’ll have a better experience if you wear your glasses or contacts when playing.
Will the VR Experiences cause motion sickness?
No they won’t. Motion sickness happens when the motion we’re feeling doesn’t tally with what our eyes are seeing. If you’re standing still but your eyes tell you you’re moving your brain doesn’t like that! Our VR experiences are free roaming. That means you’re walking around the whole space together with your team. Your motion is real. (You can read more about this here.)
